Happy Birthday John!

John and I got married 2 years ago at the beginning of the month, and today is his birthday!

I wish we could have planned a great adventure, but of course I'm on Jeopardy call today (the logistics of my call schedule are a whole other post that I'll tackle at some point).

Essentially that means I have to stay close to town and be prepared to go to work at any moment, so much as I would like to go and do something exciting and fun, our plans are restricted to town.

Still, there was coffee, sleeping in, some time to just chill, and plans this evening for dinner.

I wanted to say happy birthday to my Husband - that I hope this year is even fuller than the last, that I'm thankful to have had another year with you, and that I love you.

Happy Birthday!

The Happy and Sad of the Summer

It's September tomorrow and despite my best intentions I didn't make nearly the blog posts I intended this summer.

It was not without adventure though, and full of friends and family, so to catch you up, here's some summer photo highlights.

I lost someone this summer, and found some new friends too, and it's been quite the season.

These didn't come up in chronological order exactly, but it includes some local Albuquerque adventures and a trip to California where I got to be a bridesmaid for Tiffany's wedding.

The last few are from a trip home to Oregon for about 48 hours to say goodbye to my Grandfather who passed away recently after a long battle with cancer. My family all came home for the service and it was hard. I loved him a lot, and I hope he knew it.
