Valentine's Weekend: Part IV

Monday I didn't exactly attend class. Or even approximately attend class.

Instead I took a long weekend, but I just passed a stack of midterms last week right? Right.

So after another fruit/muffin breakfast, we got on the road back to Santa Barbara. It's about a 4 hour drive, and then it's another 2.5 hours from there to my house.

Stop #1: Coffee

Because we all looked a little like this.

Arisa spotted this Vegan Turtle Cup from Sweet Earth Chocolates and declared she was buying it for me. I had a friend crush on her before; now it's well-established.

Sweet Earth Chocolates is an Organic & Fair Trade Chocolate company that makes a wide variety of treats vegan and otherwise. This was delicious.

After another brief leg of the journey,
Stop #2: Lunch at Evos. This is healthy, vegan-friendly fast food. And delicious.

See that? Labelled vegan options. And there was more than one.

That's my "I got to choose from more than a salad!" excited face.

Iced green tea.

I subbed the vegan burger into the tomato basil wrap, which included the sauce, rice, lettuce, and a spinach herb tortilla.

Air-baked (not fried) sweet potato fries.

Then back on the road.

We made it back in the early evening, but I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye, so Boyfriend and I went out for Valentine's Day dessert to Sojourner Cafe

I feel it's a can't-miss in Santa Barbara for vegans and vegetarians. It always gets a "I have so many choices" excited face:

The Vegan Gluten Free Apple Apricot Crumble Tart, Soy Delicious Vanilla Ice Cream

And Vegan Hot Chocolate.
Omni boyfriend and I agreed - these were great.

It's our fifth Valentine's Day together, which boyfriend pointed out isn't as significant as it sounds because there's only 4 years between 1 and 5 - but I pouted at him and told him it still felt like a great reason to celebrate. And it is.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone (a couple days late).

I hope it was lovely.

Haha thanks, Kari. And those turtle cups truly are amazing.

I must try this Evos. Perhaps a journey east is in order :)
